Overview

Department of State Office of Foreign Missions contract in Washington, DC on which we provide system development and full spectrum IT support services. The project needs a Technical Team Lead to provide leadership in developing Web-based applications in a .NET, MVC, Oracle, and Windows environment. Work in a team environment to research, design, develop, and support a software system which is undergoing a modernization and consolidation of multiple legacy systems into one modernized system

Responsibilities

  • As Team Lead, provide guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to a team of developers for the purpose of achieving project priorities of developing or enhancing system functionality.
  • Oversee projects and supervise the day-to-day operations of your team.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders and team members, and using Business Rules and User Stories as a basis: design, develop, and implement .NET applications utilizing Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, ASP.NET, C#, and Oracle following MVC design patterns.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum SDLC activities. Perform unit and integration testing of software/systems prior to release to the users for user acceptance testing.
  • Work in a team environment with other .NET developers to lead developing new Web-based applications.
  • Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements and schedule. Support developing Agile SDLC phase documentation.
  • Interact with, and support system users. Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Develop work estimates for technical tasks, create project road maps, and manage technical project resources
  • 5+ years experience with Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, and Team Foundation Server.
  • Experience developing program design based on accepted requirements
  • Experience conducting unit and integration testing

 

Minimum Education Required:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or directly related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Science, etc) or 5 years of related experience or equivalent.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience using MVC design patterns
  • Experience with Oracle
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Agile Scrum
