Our new Data Center Operations Support project will support the Department of Justice and the FBI in maintaining their current production private cloud and in developing a new data center design standard for a new multi-tenant private cloud to support DOJ wide data center consolidation.  Areas of support include Windows, Linux, Storage, Security and Network Engineering as well as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) operations and maintenance.   Areas of focus include ensuring the FBI’s unclassified and classified computer systems are maintained in a secure, reliable manner with minimum disruption and productions systems shall have a 99% uptime.  In addition, our team will work on new projects including data center consolidation, the implementation of a private on-premise cloud, a hybrid cloud, and deployments of new technologies across multiple enclaves.


The SharePoint Engineer – Senior shall deliver both internal and external facing SharePoint 2013 sites using Windows Server, SharePoint 2013 or higher, MS SQL Server 2012 or higher, and custom views and menus with multiple sub-sites. The SharePoint Specialist will act as the Section's Subject Matter Expert for all SharePoint activities and coordinate the continual updating of content and workflows. All Section SharePoint related projects will be supported by the Specialist as resources allow. Priorities will be determined by the Section Business Office.

  • Responsible for the content, design and all products integrated into the web facing team sites and managing SharePoint
  • Serve as the designer of the SharePoint end user facing pages and revision of the pages with updates, modifications, and ensuring links are functional and accessible and style sheets are conforming to enterprise
  • Manage on premise SharePoint sites that do not have direct Internet
  • Collect end user and power user requirements and designing, and implementing changes within the deadlines set forth
  • Configure data sources and drop down tables and menu picks as well as “check box”
  • Transition knowledge to the government staff through training and assistance on how to use the technology using industry best practices
  • Define, architect, configure and document the implementation of SharePoint solutions 
  • Interact with customers throughout project lifecycles. Serve as the technical and functional subject matter expert for SharePoint solutions internally and externally work with the Agency SharePoint Teams
  • Develop custom tailored SharePoint workflows and data exports to provide maximum automation and availability of submitted data for reporting and metrics 
  • Elicit and analyze business processes and requirements from technical and non-technical teams and organize tasks and estimate delivery
  • Perform operations and admin tasks, to include maintaining copies of SharePoint data, troubleshooting issues, and responding to service desk ticket escalations. 
  • Assist in the development of training documentation and provide training
  • Devise, implement and maintain a process for maintaining the Section's Inventory and a work flow for tracking and validating lifecycle and approvals Devise, implement and maintain a customer request process with workflows and approval processes
  • Function as single point coordinator for all of Section content on internal and external portals, including organization charts, status reports, policy documents, operational level agreements (OLA)/Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
  • Implement standard for the import and export of data Standardize reporting of data Manage access controls for the Section Organize Section and Agency policy documentations
  • Create guidelines for which documents/reports/spreadsheets should be hosted in SharePoint and which should go to shared folders
  • Transition knowledge to the government staff through training and assistance on how to use the technology using industry best


  • Microsoft SharePoint Certified
  • 5 years of experience
