    Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.  Act as a liaison between the Business Function and Information Systems.  Incumbents may be located in the Business Function or within the IT department.  Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing basic systems.  They have the business knowledge and perspective of a particular business and the IT needs of that business unit. They act as a liaison representing their department and the processes and workings within it by gathering business specifications and requirements and acting as the primary contact to IT for that particular business units basic IT needs. 

     

    Work in a friendly environment in a great location in Crystal City, Arlington.  The current team welcomes, trains, and supports new employees.  Work directly with an exceptional government client.

    Active Top Secret (must be able to obtain a CI Poly)

    Responsibilities

    Job Knowledge: Performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in nature.  

     

    Leadership/Direction of Others: Acts as a resource to managers and employees in the organization.  May provide general guidance and training to lower level employees.  Plays a key role in implementing projects and programs in the function.

     

    Problem Solving/Complexity:  Typically relies on direction from manager or supervisor for complex issues.  Identifies and clarifies/defines problems and possible solutions independently; chooses among existing solutions to resolve.

     

    Supervision Received/Independent Judgement:  Works under general supervision or broad instruction. Typically involves periodic review of work product by supervisor or direct "customer" of the process.  Has excellent customer relationship skills, and is able to effectively communicate requirements to developers and testers. 

     

    • Elicit requirements using interviews and discovery sessions, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, business analysis, and workflow analysis.
    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements, and Screen design mockups
    • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of contract management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
    • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
    • Develop requirements specifications according to standard Agile Scrum User story templates
    • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
    • Write technical and user guide documentation

     

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of Requirements Documentation
    • 5+ years of MS Office
    • 5+ years of developing diagrams and mockups
    • 5+ years of Requirements Gathering and Management (MS SharePoint, Team Foundation Server)
