    Buchanan & Edwards is looking for a Sr. Program Control Analyst to join our team. The Program Control Analyst develops plans, including budgets and schedules, to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned major portion of a program. Establishes and defines program plan requirements and performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans. Coordinates interdepartmental development of program plans. Interfaces with vendors and customers and performs extensive investigations as required. Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.

    Responsibilities

    This position will provide financial planning and analysis support to the direct programs.  The responsibilities will include:

    • Work with all internal and external stakeholders and teams while communicating effectively.
    • Provide financial analysis and outlook to include risks and opportunities.
    • Identify operational risk impacts to performance and provide recommendations in areas such as cost reduction.
    • Collect, organize, analyze and interpret financial data, in support of the operational business units.
    • Track and report business units’ budgets including running quantitative analyses. Identify any financial issues.
    • Prepare monthly financial report and variance analysis for CFO, Directors, and program managers.
    • Monitoring and review of EACs.
    • Work with PMs and Directors to explain/discuss forecasting and budgeting. Assist with program reviews.
    • Conduct profitability analyses on programs.
    • Conduct monthly reviews with stakeholders to identify variance driver and corrective actions.
    • Assist annual planning and re-forecast processes by developing tools, working with and consolidating inputs from business units, and reviewing outputs with CFO team.
    • Identify process improvement and cost saving opportunities. Follow through with results.
    • Perform ad hoc analyses and assist in special projects.
    • Monthly review of Operations, BD forecast in CRM.
    • Manage special projects as assigned.
    • Occasional local travel between BE offices and to client sites.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of DoD contracting and program financial experience including long range forecasting, tracking costs to budget, cost to ceilings, execution to schedule, and CDRL delivery.
    • Solid working knowledge of multiple types of contracts including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and IDIQ contracts.
    • Knowledge of DoD contract processes, FAR, and DCAA audit and reporting methods.
    • 3+ years experience with CostPoint (desired).

    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Knowledge of CostPoint Forecasting cloud version.
