    About the project:The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Resource Planning Office (RPO) has driven business innovation, managed enterprise processes, and provided data informed analyses to the FBI. In service of this mission, RPO has developed six enterprise IT systems, as well as a number of smaller IT-related capabilities, programs, and projects to address specific FBI enterprise management needs and challenges. These systems serve the FBI with integrated enterprise business intelligence reports and analytical capabilities, compensation and benefits analysis and management, process improvements and automation, and operational and intelligence program management.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain business intelligence products and capabilities, including but not limited to:

    • Use, configure and deploy commercial, custom and open source business intelligence applications (E.g., MicroStrategy, R, MS Power BI, Tableau)
    • Develop data marts, attributes and metrics using data from source systems
    • Create and deploy dynamic enterprise reports and dashboards, that blend operational and administrative performance and management data and metrics
    • Customize reports and dashboards for a range of audience sizes
    • Create and share business intelligence products and analyses from scratch, for example by making attributes and/or metrics available to advanced customers and allowing them to create their own dashboards and reports
    • Develop functionality such as drilling capability from summary to detailed level data to ensure data transparency behind metrics (e.g., drilling from a count of ten to the ten data elements that make up that count)

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
    • At least 5 years of experience in requirements analysis, systems engineering, operations and maintenance, network/ systems administration, and configuration management.
    • Extensive experience in maintenance and support of production and development environments, security administration, and user administration
    • Extensive experience in object security and managing the integrity of project schemas across multiple environments
    • Extensive experience in administering the object change management process across multiple environments
    • Extensive experience with Enterprise Manager
    • Extensive experience with performance tuning and application/ SQL optimization
    • Extensive experience with the MicroStrategy Administration Toolkit.
    • Possess the necessary skills to debug and troubleshoot environment application issues
    • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of management.
    • Possess the necessary people skills to identify requirements and deliver results.
    • Experience with environments using advanced MicroStrategy concepts, including dynamic dashboards and leveraging of Intelligent Cubes.

    Preferred:

    • Ability to support MicroStrategy repositories in an Oracle environment
    • Experience with MicroStrategy multi-source reporting
    • Experience with maintaining, updating, and creating Business Intelligence technical standards, specifications, and documents
    • Prior work experience with FBI
