    About the project: The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Resource Planning Office (RPO) has driven business innovation, managed enterprise processes, and provided data informed analyses to the FBI. In service of this mission, RPO has developed six enterprise IT systems, as well as a number of smaller IT-related capabilities, programs, and projects to address specific FBI enterprise management needs and challenges. These systems serve the FBI with integrated enterprise business intelligence reports and analytical capabilities, compensation and benefits analysis and management, process improvements and automation, and operational and intelligence program management.

    • Identify and implement new and scalable technologies—including Open Source Software (OSS), Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and custom applications—to support analytical projects and capabilities
    • Establish and follow data management principles
    • Establish repeatable procedures and tools to collect and integrate data sources, normalize datasets, data cleansing, and data quality checks
    • Determine and utilize optimal tools for both the presentation and analysis of data
    • Upon request, support the identification, planning, and implementation of data analytics projects



    • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
    • At least 5 years of experience developing with Java Platform Enterprise Edition (JEE) and Oracle Database Software
    • Extensive experience meeting with system owners to determine requirements for development
    • Experience collaborating with business analysts and other developers in order to accomplish the teams goals
    • Possess demonstrable knowledge on quickly generating complex code while minimizing the number of bugs
    • Possess demonstrable knowledge of reviewing complex code to identify and fix any bugs
    • Possess demonstrable knowledge of industry best practices to be implemented within the team


    • Experience with Angular, Spring, Hibernate, JBoss EAP, Oracle RDBMS, Amazon WebServices, and/or Microsoft Windows Server 2016
    • Prior work experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation
