    Project Overview:

    Our new Data Center Operations Support project will support the Department of Justice and the FBI in maintaining their current production private cloud and in developing a new data center design standard for a new multi-tenant private cloud to support DOJ wide data center consolidation. Areas of support include Windows, Linux, Storage, Security and Network Engineering as well as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) operations and maintenance. Areas of focus include ensuring the FBI’s unclassified and classified computer systems are maintained in a secure, reliable manner with minimum disruption and productions systems shall have a 99% uptime. In addition, our team will work on new projects including data center consolidation, the implementation of a private on-premise cloud, a hybrid cloud, and deployments of new technologies across multiple enclaves

    The Principal Systems Engineer-Application Packaging will create application packages for thick client and virtual installation packages for COTS and custom applications. Experience with Microsoft App-V, Flexera Admin Studio, Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2012 or newer), and IBM BigFix.  Lead a packaging team supporting enterprise Windows 7 and 10 software deployments.

    Position Requirements

    • Produce standards and best practices for complex packages at an enterprise level, 100,000+ user, 3000+ server, multiple physical and virtual environments
    • Apply specific application settings with industry tools and custom scripting
    • Create and test silent MSI/MST Windows 7/10 packages for enterprise and various multiple environments for SCCM and BigFix.
    • Packaging and sequencing with Install Shield and App-V deployments and ACT package shimming.
    • Extensive Cscript, Wscript, VBscript, and PowerShell experience
    • Document customization and package changes
    • Maintain test environments, documentation, and results
    • Train other packaging staff on packaging processes, methods, and tools

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Extensive Active Directory, Microsoft Registry and WMI knowledge
    • Extensive Flexera Admin Studio, SCCM, and Install Shield experience
    • Extensive PowerShell, VBScript knowledge
    • 10+ Years Application Packaging experience
