    Project Overview:

    Our new Data Center Operations Support project will support the Department of Justice and the FBI in maintaining their current production private cloud and in developing a new data center design standard for a new multi-tenant private cloud to support DOJ wide data center consolidation. Areas of support include Windows, Linux, Storage, Security and Network Engineering as well as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) operations and maintenance. Areas of focus include ensuring the FBI’s unclassified and classified computer systems are maintained in a secure, reliable manner with minimum disruption and productions systems shall have a 99% uptime. In addition, our team will work on new projects including data center consolidation, the implementation of a private on-premise cloud, a hybrid cloud, and deployments of new technologies across multiple enclaves

    Subject Matter Expert III (SME) for System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

    The SCCM SME is an expert in SCCM architecture, operations, OSD, Task Sequencing, PowerShell, oversees Application Packaging, WSUS, server patching and workstation OSD. Has in-depth Windows server operating systems (2012R2, 2016, and higher), desktop operating systems (Windows 7 and 10),  driver, support library, application dependency, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), security policy, PXE boot, WINPE, Sysprep, Deployment Services, Assessment and Deployment Toolkit (ADK), Automated Installation Toolkit (AIK), and STIG compliance knowledge.

    Responsibilities

    Requirements and duties:

    • Design, implement, and integrate multiple enterprise SCCM environments.
    • Create Windows Server baselines (2012, 2012R2 Core, 2012R2 Full, 2012 Nano, 2016 Core, 2016 or higher), Windows 7, Windows 10, or higher.
    • Create deployment methods including network installation, PXE Boot, WDS, SCCM, MDT Share, DVD, and USB Devices.
    • Create engineering and step-by-step build documentation.
    • Understand networks, TCP/IP, subnet masks, and routing. Storage, systems, applications and dependencies.
    • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
    • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase efficiency and lower human intervention.
    • Provide 4th level support.
    • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
    • Create and update technical documentation including inventory, and patch levels monthly.
    • Transition knowledge to other staff through training and guidance on SCCM industry best practices.

    Required Experience and Certifications

    Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and 10 years of experience required.

    MCTS – SCCM Certification

    Experience architecting and operating Enterprise SCCM architectures supporting over 2000 Windows servers, and 100,000 workstations.

    A master’s degree is preferred
